Capitalism and Climate Change and Freedom and Obama's Audacity and welfare Cap and Trade, Capitalism, Climate Change, Global Warming, Liberty, Nobel Peace Prize, Obama, Progressivism, prosperity, wealth redistribution 1:07 PM
In early December, our Pulitzer Peace Prize winning President Barack Hussein Obama (mmm – mmm – mmm) will be attending the Conference of the States’ Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Copenhagen. There he is expected to sign an international climate change treaty which will completely undermine our national sovereignty. This 200 page document has three very disconcerting foundational parts. First, it establishes a government of unelected officials appointed by the UN who will govern the member States. Second, it establishes “climate debt” which demands that wealthier industrialized member states must annually pay poorer less developed member states up to 2% of their national GDP because of their culpability in altering the climate. Third, the right to enforce all economic and environmental policies this new government would impose on member states.
However, the President’s signature alone won’t bind the United States to this unwanted unnecessary treaty — our Constitution requires a 2/3 vote in the Senate to ratify it before becoming law. So what’s so horrible if the Senate succeeds in ratifying a climate change treaty? The Constitution mandates that all international treaties shall take precedence over it. In other words, our liberty and prosperity are looking down the barrel of a cannon poised to utterly destroy them. We must remain vigilant and let our Senators know that we do not want this country altering treaty ratified when it comes before them.
I’ll keep you updated as events unfold.

Climate Change Cap and Trade, Climate Change, Global Warming, Humanism, Religion 8:44 AM
Two weeks ago I attended a fabulously organized and well attended gathering of women from throughout the country in New Orleans, Louisiana. The event’s premise was that Climate Change, previously known as Global Warming, is occurring at an alarming rate, and the debate is over. From that vantage point, each breakout session I attended supported the economy crushing Cap and Trade bill which requires Americans to live less comfortably. This oppressive piece of legislation will determine how much we drive, what cars we drive, at what temperature we keep our homes, and ultimately, how many children we have. Apparently, evil Americans are polluting and propagating at such high levels we must sacrifice our lifestyle, and posterity, to save the earth.
What is the true root of this unscientifically supported supposition vehemently advocated by environmental radicals? A huge leap of faith is necessary in order to accept the premise that man (Americans) and his inventions exude such levels of carbon dioxide that the earth’s ozone layer will be gone in 20 years. Ultimately, one must believe there is no God who created or sustains the earth, leaving it up to mankind to save the world. The belief of no supreme authority above man comes directly from the Humanist Manifesto — the cornerstone of Humanism. Humanism, as decided by the Supreme Court of the United States, is a religion. . Therefore, the foundation of the environmentally challenged theory of the earth’s demise by Climate Change is a religious one.
