Obama like Jesus? Monday, Apr 12 2010

Some people confuse racism — preference given or denied due to one’s race, with Socialism — the political ideology of: “from each according to his ability, to each according to his need“. Therefore, they believe when someone says the agenda and actions of President Obama are socialistic, that the person who opposes him does so only because Obama is partly black. They will not deny he is a socialist, but will deflect the accusation with cries of racism, and justify his actions by comparing him to Jesus, who, in their minds, was a Socialist in His own right. Both positions, however, are incorrect.

I recommend David Chilton’s book, “Productive Christians in the Age of Guilt Manipulators” for deeper study, but will briefly address these two gross misnomers.

Jesus’ life and teachings promote truth, private property, and individual liberty with responsibility, which are foundational to the proper working of the free market. Regarding healthcare, Jesus never demanded His followers who were doctors (Luke, for example) to practice medicine at their own financial demise. He took nothing from anyone else to give sight, hearing, restored limbs, or the breath of life to those He touched. People received from Him freely, and He gave from His own resources — no one else’s.

Jesus did not continuously feed the poor, either. He never gave preference to someone because he was rich or poor — he treated all equally. On the three occasions when He fed the multitudes, they first listened to Him speak before receiving anything, and when He fed them (out of concern for their strength to travel home), He did so without collecting everyone’s food and redistributing it for all to share equally.

We must remember, too, that Jesus in no way worked for or represented the government. He did not command the government to go and do His work — He commanded His disciples. It is the job of the government to guarantee equal opportunity, not equal property. It is the responsibility of the church to help the poor — but he who refuses to work, shall not eat.

A worker is worth his wages, but not all work is equal, therefore, neither are wages.

Jesus lived a perfect life which included obeying the eighth commandment, “Do not steal”. If Obama wants to imitate Him, he can begin by keeping his hands out of the people’s pockets.

Dems Got Their Healthcare Tuesday, Mar 23 2010

So the Dems got their healthcare bill passed, and stirred the ire and hatred of the masses against them. Pelosi and Reed will not survive the November elections — Reed defeated, and Pelosi replaced.

The people who they say they are for the poor and down-trodden, make them the people who will suffer the most from this egregious legislation.

Where do they think the government gets its money to do all the kind and benevolent things for all those hurting people? If they penalize the producers in the economy, why should, or would, they keep producing? Therefore, if they stop producing, or produce less, how does the government’s take increase? If they lessen government’s take, then they have less to distribute to the moochers. If everyone becomes a moocher — which is what happens in a universal healthcare system — how is there enough, if any, money to offer the services needed?

The entire system fails, but these progressive idiots who are incapable of logical thought continue on in their march toward self-destruction, and drag the country down with them. Forget about what history has shown us! Ignore what medical care is like in other countries! “We will defy the laws of economics,” they say, “because we are in charge, and we know better than God”, (because, of course, there is no God; they are god!)

Foolish, foolish people!

They don’t see that we are only two generations away from implementing Social Security, and it’s a complete disaster. We are only one generation from Johnson’s “War on Poverty”, and the welfare system is the biggest drain on our tax dollars to date, and we still have the poor with us — yet another failure. But these goons cannot see that the healthcare debacle they have imposed on the American citizenry, against their will, is completely unsustainable and will crush us economically. Perhaps that’s exactly what they want. Fools!

Melancon Castigates Vitter Over Landrieu Ammendment Sunday, Jan 3 2010

Unsurprisingly, Rep. Charlie Melancon is castigating Senator David Vitter for not supporting an amendment in the Senate Health Care Bill that Senator Mary Landrieu prostituted herself to have put into it. Go figure! Landrieu proudly brags of her $300 Million pay-off — in the name of Louisiana — for her vote of a bill that will fundamentally transform our nation.

Melancon and Landrieu think like piranha. They see people held captive in poverty by the chains of welfare, and they do their best to see their victims stay there. If America’s poor were to wake up from the stupor that befuddles them, they would see that the very programs and promises made by the government will never satisfy.

The concept of private property, and individuals reaping the fruit of their labor, is fundamental to any free society. In fact, the eighth commandment clearly states, “Do not steal”. There is no qualification or exception to it — not even vote by majority. Theft by any other name is still theft, and that is what Vitter opposes.

Landrieu and Melancon do not understand that government’s job is not to provide equal things, but equal opportunity. Legalized theft, i.e. taxes, is Karl Marx’s central method of leveling the masses. In the name of “caring for the hurting”, the Statist takes from the producers, and gives to the moochers.

People who produce will stop producing if they are not able to keep the money they earned. Look at the late USSR. In 1917, the Communists made promises of bread, land, and peace — a utopia that only government could provide! However, in a few short years, after the “cleansing” of the country, massive famine consumed the nation. Hardship and shortages were the trademark of the implementation of Marxism on the unfortunate Russian populace.

Vitter is standing up for Louisianans, and, in so doing, for the nation. We do not need more back-room deals in Washington. We need statesmen who uphold the constitution. Melancon’s words reveal his bribability, whereas Vitter’s actions, thus far, show he puts principle before personal profit.

A Chance Meeting Friday, Nov 20 2009

Last night I attended a function where several young aids representing their bosses, Charlie Melancon and Mary Landrieu, were present. It was a social occasion; one meant to wine (although there was none), and dine them (many Cajun delicacies such as fried alligator and boiled shrimp were available).

Through the course of events, I began conversing with Charlie Melancon’s aide, Carl. He is a tall, good looking, young, fit, hip, black man, who is intelligent and well spoken. Overall, it was a pleasure to speak with him. Although not the gathering’s purpose, I brought up the subject of the current Health Care reform Washington is trying to jam down the throat of an unwilling American citizenry. He remained calm, and stayed on the same liberal talking points of how some people just can’t afford health care and need help to do so, and how people who earn more than their basic needs demand must give some of their surplus to those who, for whatever reason, can’t provide such for themselves.

I listened (and sometimes interrupted) to his comments, and tried to reason with him. I enacted an object lesson of how the government must steal money from a producer to give it to a moocher. When I asked him if he has ever read anything by or about Karl Marx, he replied that he had for several years. (I assumed in college; not as a personal interest.) Therefore, I challenged him to stop, think and consider how the actions he was promoting in government came directly from Karl Marx. I urged him too observe that Marx’s philosophy, implemented on any level, has never worked, does not work, and never will work. With that, our conversation ended.

Is Socialism Biblical? by Joel McDermott

Pelosi – 1; Freedom of Choice – 0 Sunday, Nov 1 2009

Yesterday, Louisiana Senator David Vitter came to Houma, Louisiana, and held yet another town hall meeting. Scheduled only two days after the nefarious Nancy Pelosi health care bill exploded on an unwilling American citizenry, Vitter addressed the crowd. Having with him the 2,000 page, 20-pound bill, and a panel of 1 doctor and 1 small business owner from the area, the audience of over 200 people listened with anticipation for words that would quell their fears. At least ten percent had the opportunity to speak directly to the Senator asking questions or making comments. The audience was calm, but with the specter of that albatross of a bill looming on the table in front of them, everyone paid close attention.

People are concerned that this bill transforms American healthcare into an American nightmare, and rightfully so. Its real purpose is about power, not healthcare. Who has the right to make choices for the individual — the individual, or the government? When does one go to sleep? What does one eat? Does one smoke? May one be over weight, or under weight? According to Nancy Pelosi and her ‘historic’ bill, a bureaucrat will decide all, because the government knows best. We are now a collective.

A Call to D.C. — November 5, 2009 Saturday, Oct 31 2009

As Washington secures the shackles of slavery around the nation’s feet, tyranny looms in darkness waiting to turn the key. We must fight harder than ever before. Radical Marxists have infiltrated our government, and are destroying our country. What heritage shall we leave our children? Freedom or bondage?

Why Democrats Should Start to Sweat.

Much Ado About Castro Saturday, Sep 5 2009

Rep. Diane Watson’s (D-CA) unabashed praises of an oppressive tyrant are reprehensible. Her revealing comments venerate Marxist theory, and smack of racial preference toward blacks. She praises the overthrow of Cuban Prime Minister Fulgencio Batista by Che Guarva, and raves about the fabulous health care Fidel Castro provides for his subjects. (She needs, however, to make a quick review of history to get her facts straight. Castro was no innocent bystander, as she alludes in her adulation of him, who Guarva found to replace Batista as Cuba’s Prime Minister. No, it was actually the exiled Castro who found Guarva in Mexico, and returned with 1,400 revolutionaries to overthrow Batista. It took time, but eventually Batista’s regime fell, and Jose Miro Cardona was installed as Prime Minister. Not surprisingly, though, after a mere six weeks in office he “mysteriously” resigned, and Castro was sworn in to replace him.)
Sure, tyranny is great . . . as long as you’re the tyrant. Do our politicians honestly believe they will prosper as they do now if they impose on the American people the oppression with which they are so enamored? Are they such fools? Do they think the American people are witless mice that will allow their lives, liberty, and property to be taken from them without a fight?
Rise up America before blood is spilled on our soil once again! Politicians who extol political thought such as Socialism, Marxism, or Communism, which are the enemies of Capitalism, must be voted out of office! If we want to retain and pass on Liberty with all the prosperity it provides, we must not grow weary in battle. We must fight the good fight! We must never, never, never give up.
