Today is September 11 — the date immortalized in the annals of time as one of the most tragic days in American history along with the attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941.
FRC Director, Tony Perkins, spearheaded a national call to prayer scheduled for today at noon.
I attended our local gathering with approximately two dozen other people standing in the rain with umbrellas, listening to speakers proclaim our heritage, declare we are a Christian Nation, and encourage us to fast for our country. Perhaps the organizers in my town had a different understanding of the event’s purpose, because it didn’t coincide with mine. Albeit, I commend their effort to coordinate the event, and all who braved the weather believing God is our nation’s only hope.
